Records are made to be broken. In the 107th edition of the Tour of Flanders, Tadej Pogacar did just that. Arguably the most prestigious single-day race on the calendar, Pogacar covered the 170-mile course in just over six hours, recording the fastest Tour of Flanders on record.

As Tadej and his UAE Team Emirates teammates prepare for a winning run at this year’s Tour de France, he continues to solidify his standing as one of the winningest and most versatile racers in the history of the sport. When Tadej crossed the finish line solo in front of thousands of race fans in the town of Oudenaarde, Belgium, he became just the third Tour de France winner to stand on the podium’s top step. The last one to do it was none other than Eddy Merckx.

Even with the sharp climbs and stinging cobbles, Tadej rode a similar equipment setup as he did en route to the overall victory in March at Paris-Nice. ENVE SES 4.5 wheels paired with Continental Grand Prix 5000 30mm tires were his go-to, which has been the case for most of the season. It seems to be working. His handlebar of choice continues to be the SES Aero Handlebar.
