Team ENVE Journeys North to Rebecca’s Private Idaho
After a full season of enjoying our new G Series wheels at such events as Dirty Kanza and Crusher in the Tushar – we ventured north to Rebecca Rusch’s backyard. Rebecca hosts this multi-day gravel event in Ketchum, Idaho known as, Rebecca’s Private Idaho.
The event features a 3 day stage race with mixed surface riding that is sure to provide challenges for all riders with undoubtedly breathtaking views. Capping it all off is a parade Saturday and party on Sunday night for all.
Below are their stories and experiences. Hopefully we’ll see you there next year, as we most certainly will be returning.

“I’ve had some friends tell me that I have to do this race for a few years now. They told me that, not only is the course great, but the events before and after the race are great too. Since, Eurobike was moved to July this year, instead of Labor Day weekend when the race is, I marked my calendar and signed up early. This year I was going to do it. I must say that the event did not disappoint. I missed the first days of stage racing, only doing the Big Potato, but it was top notch. The course was challenging, with a few good climbs, and plenty of open roads that still made you work for your spot. The scenery was amazing, and different than what I had previously scene when going to Sun Valley to ride. The finish line was welcoming as well. There was plenty of food, people, and activities awaiting. I left wanting more. Rebecca, I’ll be back again. Next time I’ll stop to eat some of those potatoes though at feedzones. I hear they are killer. I’ll leave the head down racing to the fast guys.”

“Rebecca’s Private Idaho and The Queen’s Stage race is truly a unique and absolutely fantastic event. I was lucky enough to race in The Queen’s Stage race this year, which offered three exceptional stages showcasing some of the best gravel roads (and trails) that Ketchum had to offer. Stage 1, The Galena Lodge adventure stage has to be the best gravel race I’ve ever done, by far. Not every day do you get to race a drop bar bike on 20 miles of exceptionally built and maintained trails littered with berms and jumps. For a mountain biker like myself, I had a huge smile on my face the entire day. Typically, I find that the most fun is had when a bike is pushed right to it’s limit, and these trails provided just that feeling. Some questionable jumps were jumped, and some berms may or may not have been rallied. I’d like to say thank you to Rebecca for pushing the envelope a bit on what gravel racing can, and should be! I already can’t wait for next year.”

“The event awesome, and created a great space for ENVE, as a brand, to interact with consumers and potential consumers. It was not a typical gravel road ride. The first day was on quite a few mountain bike trails which made riding significantly more fun. Overall, the event was extremely well organized with a great crowd. The lifestyle elements helped draw many different types of people. We had quite a bit of fun, as you can imagine.”
