With nearly two years of top-level Enduro World Series racing under their belt, the Orbea/ENVE Enduro Team riders and their ENVE equipped Orbea Rallons have proven to be capable when put up against the demands of EWS enduro racing. Consistent top-ten placements and two second-place stage results from both Thomas Lapeyrie and Becky Cook showcase the depth of talent on the team, and the performance of their equipment.
Picking the ENVE M730 wheels, to match the Orbea Rallon’s 150mm frame and 160mm fork travel, provide the riders enough durability and traction to inspire confidence over the challenging EWS courses. Maxxis High Roller II tires up front with Maxxis Minion DHR II in the back also pair well with the M Series Protective Rim Strip that is found on the M7 Series wheels to make sure the riders can achieve optimal traction by running the tire pressures they want, while at the same time ensuring that this same air remains in the tire through the finish of each stage. Finally, the M Series handlebars finish off the cockpit to provide a tuned ride feel that keeps the racers in control, while minimizing arm pump and hand fatigue.
“The Orbea Enduro Team’s wheel and cockpit setup is being used and deployed at the hardest enduro courses in the world, at the fastest pace. It’s exactly what we designed those products for. We’ve been extremely happy with the team, and likewise they’ve been excited about the products we’ve given them to provide the best race bikes possible,” says ENVE Marketing Manager, Neil Shirley.
With three rounds of the EWS complete, the team sets their sights towards the remaining five races of the season. We expect to see some exciting results from the Orbea Enduro Team, and wish the racers and team best of luck. Follow along with the team @OrbeaEnduroTeam or @ENVERacing for all ENVE athlete updates.
