‘Race on Sunday, sell on Monday’ goes the old motorsport adage, which applies just as well to mountain biking. But it’s only part of the reason for the creation of the Alchemy Factory Racing team for this year’s Enduro World Series. You see, gravity mountain biking is in the blood at Alchemy, and at ENVE, too, which is why we’re partnered with the team.
The thing is, in this case it could just as easily be ‘Race on Sunday, manual on Monday’, because this is the race bike of Cody Kelley, the dirt magician behind social media gem Manual Mondays. What does he think of the all-new Arktos 29?
“It’s one of the best bikes I’ve ever ridden,” says Cody. “It’s the best bike, paired with the best wheels and cockpit I’ve ever ridden. US-made is clearly the way of the future.”
It’s one of the most striking, too, thanks to Alchemy’s in-house bespoke painting talent. The frame, fork, wheels, and stem are all custom painted in a Stars’n’Stripes theme which references not only Cody’s home country, but also a great shared characteristic of Alchemy and ENVE – handmade in the USA.
Cody’s bike is finished with our latest enduro-specific M730 wheels, and the brand new M7 handlebar and stem. It’s a build that gives Cody the control and confidence needed to compete at the top level of the Enduro World Series, and then manual into the next week.
We are excited to watch Cody and this bike take on the EWS series around the globe and continue to make Mondays more exciting. Follow along with @alchemybicycles and @kelleymtb
