Belgian Waffle Ride Cedar City - Athlete Bike Checks
Just when it seemed like all hope was lost of any major event being held in the U.S. this year, the BWR Cedar City showed that with extensive COVID-19 measures in place an event could go forward. With nothing else on the calendar, it successfully pulled in cyclists of all disciplines looking for an opportunity to test themselves. For many, it would be their first and last event of the year.
The BWR’s 125-mile gravel route carved its way through the Southern Utah terrain and presented a number of challenges in equipment setup due to sand bogs and a rather technical rocky singletrack that had to be carefully navigated close to the finish line. What was the best tire, wheel, and gearing choice for the day? It depends on who you ask. See what some of our athletes opted for with their race rigs.
