A History of Winning Fort William

Photos by Dave Trumpore

Fort William, endearingly referred to as Fort Bill, is widely regarded as one of the toughest, rockiest, and most unforgiving race courses on the UCI Downhill World Cup circuit. A staple in the downhill world, this event has been on the schedule since 2002. While it’s not the longest course racers will see, Fort Bill is often considered a true test of equipment and skills due to the harsh terrain and frequent rain.

Since ENVE entered the World Cup Downhill scene nine Fort Williams ago – a rider on ENVE wheels has won five times. A testament to the products and their resilience. With those kinds of odds, and the difficulty of the course – ENVE and the M Series show the strength required to continually stay at the top of the podium, and the innovation demanded to keep up with the increasing speeds and capabilities of downhill bikes and riders.

Take a look back through our winning years at Fort William, and the evolution of our M Series mountain bike products.
